On board the Saigon river cruise ship.

We were met by these "2 lady officers" of the cruise ship that were about to board, for the Saigon river dinner cruise.

Cuchi Tunnel tour. We are posing with mannequins of Vietcong, who use the same camouflage unforms of the Americans soldier. The area we are in is above the maze of tunnels which they said totals 250 kilometers.

Part of the tour was a visit to a handicraft factory which was manned by diabled people

Photos from Ho Chi Minh City

Mama's 60th Birthday

We celebrated Mama's birthday in Ho Chi minh City, popularly known before as Saigon. This marked her entry as a senior citizen and soon she will enjoy the 20% benefits, well, as soon as she fills up her application form and gets her senior card. The photos will probably tell more of the story for those happy and wonderful 3 days and 2 nights, but actually was only for 54 hours. We left NAIA Thursday , September 4 at 7:30 am and got back September 6 at 1:30 pm

Marco Polo Hotel lobby, Davao City

After Jules, my 7 year old grandson, published his blog, I felt challenged to do the same. I said to myself, I am only 54 years older than him, so why can't I do the same. Credit to my first venture into blogging goes to Jules.
The photo was taken at the Eden nature park in Davao City, at the foot of Mt. Apo. The place is about 3,000 ft above sea level and was the last stop in our 3 day Davao vacation. The house is a replica of the house of the tribal chieftain in the place. We were at Pearl Farm resort the day before ( no pearls or farm there).
